Looking for a fun, sensory activity for your kids? This plastic bag paint project uses an apple template (and you could easily add this activity to Week 3 of God’s Little Explorers –A is for Apples + Adam & Eve). You can also use this sensory paint idea with any template.

Supplies:
- Tempera Paint
- Gallon zip top freezer bag
- Masking tape
- Cardstock
- Scissors
- Template

Trace template of your choosing (I’ve linked to one idea here) on cardstock. Cut out the design.

Squeeze paint into the plastic bag. Let out all the air from the bag and seal.

Decide whether to tape the plastic bag to the table OR to the cardstock. If you are
taping the plastic bag to the table, tape the cardstock over the plastic bag.

Have your child smoosh the paint around the bag to “paint” the open space in the cardstock.

You can use this same idea with pumpkins, leaves, hearts, etc.–just search for templates, and you can find all kinds of options. Also, you can add two different colors in the bag to form another color (i.e. red and yellow for a pumpkin).
Have fun and make some memories with your kids!
