Welcome to Amazing Mess! My name is Stacie, and I’m so glad to meet you!
Many, many years ago when my oldest daughter was three, she was spending the night at her grandma’s house (we call her mimi). When she got into my mom’s car to come back to our house, she said, “Mimi. Your car is an amazing mess.”
Those words stuck with me.
Life is often amazing. Life is often a mess. And sometimes, life is both—an amazing mess.
And so the idea for this blog was born. I had three babies in three-and-a-half years, and I was up to my ears in baby, toddler, and preschool stuff. Plus, I was a teacher before I began staying at home, and I had lots of ideas to share….so I originally started the blog as a preschool crafts, cooking, and enrichment activity blog. Then, I got into couponing and deals, so I started MotherhoodOnADime.com. While I’ve continued blogging there (and will continue to do some), I’ve realized that my gifts and talents and passions are truly in teaching and learning.
I’ve come back to my original blog with an expanded vision. As my three girls have continued growing and changing (crazy how that happens!), I realized I really want to build a resource for moms with all kinds of kids activities, crafts, cooking, and other projects. I also want to encourage moms to live life on purpose and with intention. This whole parenting thing goes by so quickly, and truly, life is short.
