Since she won't be here for her birthday, Chloe's friends threw a surprise party (along with the tarp slip-n-slide to check off her summer bucket list)! It was a loud night of games, food and fun...but I wouldn't want it any other way. Thanks for organizing @emily.plush ♥️

It's been a long weekend with our team hosting lea

It's been a long weekend with our team hosting league finals this year, but I'm happy to say we remain league champs! 🏊‍♀️ All three girls helped out the team's point total and Lydia ended up with 4th highest points in her age group. Thanks to all of the volunteers for making the meet run so smoothly and the coaches for helping our swimmers succeed! 💙🤍💙

A day late..but it was nice to celebrate the 4th with family (and my 92 year old grandma got to join us, too)! ♥️ 🎆

I didn't take many vacation photos, but we enjoyed

I didn't take many vacation photos, but we enjoyed our time in South Carolina and catching up with my best friend from high school. Took our every-two-year stairstep photo of our kids (they are all a year apart). This might be our last one since her oldest is 18! Time flies. 😭

Congratulations to Lydia on her 8th grade graduation and leadership award! It's been a great year for her, and we are thankful to her teachers and coaches for all the ways they've mentored and encouraged her. Proud of you, Lydia ❤️

Thank you all for the birthday wishes! I love social media birthdays because I can remember so many of you and the blessings you were/are in my life! My birthday shirt is a great reminder to me to get my hopes up for this coming year. The difficulties of the past year have changed and stretched us, but God is making all things new. 🌷

I feel like I'm walking into this year with the most peace I've ever had. For so long, I was stuck in perfectionism and rigid thinking...and I cared way too much about what people thought. Over the past few years of my 40s, I've done a lot of soul searching and healing. I've done some things and grown in ways I never would have before. Things like:

Embracing my age - not everyone gets the chance to get older...so bring on the laugh lines and saggy, bagginess. 🥰

Growing out my grays - yep, I get some comments, but I don't care any more. This is me. #grombre

Trying out new jobs - still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, but I'm enjoying trying out different things. ☺️

Relaxing about my internet business - I was super driven and so worried when things didn't go as planned. I've been able to let that go and just enjoy that my curriculum and activities have been utilized by many. It warms my heart so much.

Giving up dieting and "lifestyle" changes - I 've embraced intuitive eating and a health at every size approach. I finally feel happy with my now body. It may be bigger, but it's also stronger and all my labs are better. I'm at peace after 20+ years. #bodydiversity #dietculturedropout

Exercising for fun - I no longer use exercise as punishment or to control my weight. I do it because I love it. I love the strength I've gained through weight lifting and the peace I get through jogging/walking/hiking. 🏋️‍♀️

Learning for life - I've read so many books on spiritual growth, racism, fatphobia, economics, education, etc., and it's so important to never stop learning. 📚
