If you had told me ten years ago I would run several half-marathons, lift weights regularly, and go through training to become a certified Revelation Wellness instructor, I would’ve laughed in your face. I believed I was too old, too overweight, and definitely not an athlete. For many years, I lived in shame and struggled with body image, but slowly, God has brought me to a much healthier view of who I am in Christ.
These days, I love to move and take care of the body I’ve been given….and realize what a privilege it is to live and move and have my being in Him. Working out is just part of my life and a habit I’ve cultivated over time. Now, that doesn’t mean it’s easy or I don’t want to quit sometimes–especially during weeks like this where I’ve been so sick with a cold and cough (and that cough caused me to throw my back out of place)!
Having playlists of Christian music has helped motivate me during my workouts. I do throw in some other genres of music, too, but I always try to keep it positive and uplifting. Because I’m an Amazon Prime member, I’ve been able to utilize many of the free Prime songs to build my playlists, and I thought it would be fun to share some of those with you.
I build my Christian workout playlists by picking a theme like joy, peace, armor of God, encouragement, etc….anything I’m studying or thinking about. I’m a big believer that what we put into our hearts and minds is important, and I want to think about those things that are lovely, pure, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy (Phil. 4:8).
With that said, I’ll be sharing a few of my favorite playlists over the next few weeks. I hope they motivate you and inspire you to move, too. Whether it’s jogging, walking, lifting weights, bicycling, or whatever, get out there and get going! As moms, it is important to take care of ourselves, and our kids need to see our healthy example, too.

If you’re interested, here is a fun choreographed routine to Happy by Pharrell Williams and a choreographed workout to Alive by Hillsong United. These are a great way to warm-up if you plan to run or lift weights during the rest of the music! Also, I generally try to include two to three slower songs near the end for a nice cool down and stretch. These are great songs to close with and just rest on a mat and pray or be still before God.
There you have it. I hope you enjoy these *mostly* Christian workout playlists and music, and they motivate and inspire you to get moving! Feel free to share some of your favorite workout songs, too!

This is fun! I don’t have Prime, so I’m just looking them up on youtube to see which ones I really like! 🙂 The Alive (Hillsong) one even makes me want to get up and move!!! If we lived in the same town, you could be my impetus! Remember when we lifted weights that summer with the football team and made the coach give us t-shirts, too, as we deserved the prize for doing it consistently! Shout out to Amie and Cathy who lifted with us, eh?

Hey Stacie! Thank you so much for compiling this great list of Christian songs to workout to 🙂 I loved it so much that I included you and a link to this list in my most recent post about the importance of fitness for Christian women. I pray that God will continue to use you and your ministry in a way that glorifies Him! Blessings!
